Teaching Philosophy
I believe that a golf instructor should be their student's coach. A good coach has an in depth knowledge of the game. A coach needs to be able to teach and motivate each player, in a way that best suits the student.
I believe that a golf swing should be learned from the ground up. Proper alignment leads the player to a proper swing path. Ball position and stance are very important. A good grip allows the shot to stay on line. The players' posture at address leads the rotation and weight shift of the body. The movement of a golfers' body helps the arms control the plane and timing of the swing. The swing plane and timing of release control the flight of the ball.
I believe that the enjoyment of the game should come first. It is the instructor's job to nurture the student's passion for the game.

Cost Description
$65.00 $25 Junior - ages 8 to 17 (1/2 hr), $175 - 3 lesson package, $325 - 6 lesson package.

Approach
As a coach, I develop a game plan with the help of the student during our first session. This lesson is never shorter than 1 hour as we set realistic goals. Except for playing lessons or club fittings, I try to use 45 minute lessons after that. For new player, I teach from the green back to the tee. For experienced players we start with whatever ails them.I do believe in video taping each student, so we can view their swing together.
When changing a student's swing, I try to use all means possible to inform the student. First they need to hear what they will do. Next, they need to see the correct action and finally they must be able to feel the proper position in order to begin to adapt to the new style.
I allow time to recap the main points of the lesson and set up activities or drills that the student can work on to improve. I stress that only through practice will they see the most improvement.

Teaching Philosophy
I believe that a sound golf swing comes from sound fundamentals. Grip, alignment, posture, timing and tempo are the foundation for a solid golf swing. Once these fundamentals have been established, we can look at the flight of the ball to determine what steps can be taken to correct the swing. I also pay close attention to the short game. I feel that any serious attempt to improve ones game must include an emphasis on the short game. I also address course management, physical conditioning and the golfers mental approach.

Cost Description
$65.00 $25 - Juniors (17 and under, $175 for a 3 lesson package, $325 for a 6 lesson package and $80 for a video lesson (1 hr)

Approach
I first access the golfer's goals. Then we determine the amount of time they are willing to dedicate to improving. Once these are determined we can develop a game plan for achieving these goals.

Teaching Philosophy

I am a believer that the golf swing needs to fit the individual and be kept as simple as possible. Present goals and a program with compatible mental and physical principles to enhance their performance under stress.

In an effort to make the ball go to the target – with a sensitive grip to feel and control and clubface, a compatible aim and setup to influence the shape of the swing – the student learns that the swinging of the club and arms causes the turning of the body and shifting of the weight.

Approach

· Teach so students play golf by using feel and pictures.
· Golf is a game of motion, not positions – tech this use of feel for the clubhead.
· Teach the proper grip, aim, and setup – a necessity for maximum efficiency and consistency. The body moves in response to the swinging of the club and arms to make the ball go to the target.
· Teach in a manner that creates no long-term tension in the student’s mind or body. The number one problem in playing better is excessive tension usually created by cognitive interference.
· Create model priorities for development of a pendulum-like swing:
- Correct hand and wrist action with the club.
- Arms swinging in the correct routing to turn the body and support the club.
- Feet, legs, and body supporting the swing.
Teach the short game and short shots so the student understands the significance of each to the total game.
